There may be no rules when traveling, but when you consider spending your hard earned money to visit another place, make sure to make the most of your stay and get to know the place through and through.

Here we are discussing what you can do when you arrive in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malasysia. Its a fairly large city with almost 2 million inhabitants and there is a lot to be seen and done, and a lot of shopping too if you are this way inclined. Here though are a few places that you may well wish to add to your itinerary list.

Enjoy the city by day and at night. Rise as early as you can and climb the bridge between the Petronas Towers. Do not be content with merely taking a postcard shot of the Pertronas, instead climb it to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience.

Then take city tour for the rest of the morning either by foot; or for a more unique experience, consider going on the double-decker bus and explore the beauty of this magnificent city. At night, visit Petaling Street and have dinner in Chinatown. Eat authentic Chinese cooking and practice your skill at bargaining for the different Chinese merchandise being sold. Also consider passing by the Petronas Towers again to see it when it's well-lit and take the most amazing pictures fit for a postcard.

Explore the vast caves preserved for over 400 million years and witness the Hindu pilgrimage during the Thaipusam Festival.

Take a look at the Craft Centers. Watch a talented craftsman as he creates another masterpiece. You can also purchase some of the artworks available in the gift shops and these make very good souvenirs and presents for loved ones.

There is so much you can do and so many things to explore. Do not limit yourself to places you already know of. Experience a different side of Malaysia and embrace the beauty that welcomes you there.
